Words of Welcome: Opening Assembly 2013
The Browning community traditionally begins the first official day of the new school year by attending a morning Opening Assembly at Christ Church, and this year was no exception. The September 10 program included welcoming remarks and the introduction of Form VI boys by Headmaster Clement, a rousing rendition of the School Song led by Chair of the Music Department David Prestigiacomo, followed by remarks from Division Heads Ms. Gruhn, Mssrs. Dunham and Reynolds and Student Government President Connor Dietzgen.
Headmaster Clement recognized those faculty and staff who have served the School for 25 years and longer, including himself among the honorees (he began his tenure here in 1988). As The Browning School continues to celebrate its 125th birthday, teachers and boys were treated to two special guests, a pair of Panther mascots representing past and present; one panther sported a vintage varsity sweater while the other wore a modern sports jersey. As another school year begins, in the words of the Division Heads, “Go, Panthers!”
